Welcome to SMR Portchester
Portchester castle has a long and colourful history spanning over 2000 years. Its
main purpose was to defend the coast from Saxon invaders.
The city of Portsmouth, just two miles away, has many claims to fame, one being the famous author, Charles Dickens who was born in the city on 7th February 1812. The popularity of his novels such as, Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol, has meant that he has never gone out of print, and he is acclaimed as one of history's greatest writers.
SMR UK is a site with a long local history, critically important to the local community and successful with customers and suppliers alike. National recognition has also been awarded for its outstanding apprenticeships.
